An epic romantic adventure based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper. Set in the mountainous frontier wilderness of the colony of New York in 1757, the story follows the life of Hawkeye, a colonial trapper reared by the Mohican Indian’s, through the complex war between the English, French and their respective Indian allies.

Being both warrior and peacemaker, Hawkeye wins the love of the Colonel’s daughter, Cora. Their relationship serves as a contrast to the waging war and the intermingling alliances that have been made and broken because of the war.
