This policy explains how Morgan Creek Entertainment (“Morgan Creek,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit morgancreek.com or contact us through the site.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you select (General, Press, Clip Licensing, Music Licensing, Business Affairs, Films, Series, or Merchandise), and your message. All fields are required.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider’s servers log standard request information (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and performance purposes. These logs are kept by our host under its own retention schedule.
This site uses Google Analytics (Google tag, measurement ID G-8VZFHC0ZQ1) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. See the Cookie Notice for details on the cookies this sets and how to opt out.
We do not run any other analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Film trailers on this site are links that open YouTube in a new tab rather than embedded players, so no YouTube player cookies are set by browsing this site. The site also keeps one session-only flag in your browser so the opening animation plays once per visit; it contains no personal information (see the Cookie Notice).
What we do not collect
The site has no visitor accounts, no newsletter sign-up, and no e-commerce checkout, so we do not collect passwords, payment details, or mailing-list subscriptions through the site.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and route it to the right desk.
- To keep the site secure and diagnose technical problems (server logs).
- To understand overall site usage and improve the site (Google Analytics).
Who receives it
The contact form runs on the Gravity Forms plugin, installed on our own site. Submissions are delivered by email only: the site deletes each submission from its database as soon as the email has been sent, so no copy is kept on the site. Depending on the topic you select, your message is sent to the relevant desk and copied (Bcc) to Morgan Creek’s general address so nothing goes out unseen:
- Clip Licensing, Films, Series — routed to our clip licensing agent, Visual Icon.
- Music Licensing — routed to our music licensing agent, Kobalt Music.
- Merchandise — routed to our merchandising agent, EVO Marketing Group.
- General, Press, and Business Affairs — go directly to Morgan Creek’s general address, contact@morgancreek.com.
Google Analytics data is processed by Google. We do not sell or share your personal information with any other third party.
Retention
Contact form messages exist only as email in the recipient mailboxes above; the site deletes its own copy of each submission as soon as the email is sent. Mailbox retention follows each desk’s own email retention practice. Server logs are retained by our host under its retention schedule. Google Analytics data is retained for the period configured in our Google Analytics account.
